What it does
The VSM Multi-Sizer is a Brandt shale shaker in the VSM family. Like any shaker, it sits at the flow line and screens cuttings out of the mud. A VSM 300 is the three-deck elliptical machine with published deck areas, a 39-inch weir, and two 4 horsepower motors. Do not paste those numbers onto a Multi-Sizer. Motion, motor horsepower, screen count, and weir height are nameplate facts on this model because they are not in that public machine table.

Get the basket nameplate: motion, motor horsepower, how many screens it holds, and weir height. Count the screens in the sale and confirm they are Multi-Sizer frames. A basket without the right screens will not process mud on the day it arrives.
